Computerized Library
Central Library recently automated their library services; now in Gwalior region MITS Central Library is the first one, who implements RFID technology with international security standards like ISO-15693/ISO 18000-3, which relays on 13.59 MHZ.
In Last 12 month more than 38,651 books was issued to various UG/PG students. It is the best automated library automation system used world-wide and is an effective way of managing collections of the library and providing enhanced services to the users having benefits like: control theft, to find misplaced reading material, sorting, inventory accuracy, stock verification procedures, security control, video surveillance, Smart Card etc. It is an automatic data capture technology that uses tiny microchips and miniature antennas affixed to documents. RFID plays a vital role in redefining the library processes to make everyone job easier right from the users to library staff.
Now for issuing books from library, students have to show their smart card at circulation counter. All the books were already tagged with latest RFID technology. After completing transition from circulation counter, student get the issue/return status of books on their mobile through SMS or can be downloaded their transaction status from their individual Deshboard by expanding MY Books Issued Status tab.

Name of ILMS Software : Koha
Nature of Automation : Fully
Version : 3.18
Year of Automation : 2014
Learning resource center of institute automated their library services in 2014 with implementation of RFID and integration of institute ERP software. In 2016 library export his all data and import the same in Koha library automation software.
Koha is a web-based ILS, with a SQL database (MariaDB or MySQL preferred) back end with cataloguing data stored in MARC and accessible via Z39.50 or SRU. The user interface is very configurable and adaptable and has been translated into many languages. Koha has most of the features that would be expected in an ILS, including:
