Department of Humanities

VISION
To impart knowledge of subjects in Humanities that serves to complete the academic potential of a graduate student in engineering stream.
MISSION
  • To replace Communications Skills by Soft Skills- a paper with more practical approach in improving Communication and behavioural Skills of student.
  • To initiate papers in psychological and behavioural science so as to provide students needed assistance in realising their goals.
  • To initiate certificate/degree programmes so as to convert itself into a full-fledged department.
  • To emphasise on Entrepreneurship to enable students generate employment instead of merely becoming an employee.

The stream of Humanities is an integral part of Engineering Curricula since its inception and the Department has delivered these papers with variations is the syllabi and schemes in accordance with the needs of time and requirement of students. The Department at present has five faculty members and organizes additional and remedial classes for the needy students.
Additional Classes Handled 1. The Department is running special classes in Communication Skills and Personality Development. 2. It is also running classes in English as a foundation course which is open to all students.
Vision & Mission
The Department engages classes for papers taught at both Graduate and PG level. As it is imperative for every student to display some proficiency in Language and Managerial Skills to be a good Executive the aim of the Department is to inculcate in students a habit of speaking fluently, present his views effectively, and turn out to be a good leader. The Department seeks to achieve the all round development of the personality of a student grooming his personality in both hard skills and soft skills. This shall enable both the faculty and the student alike to take up higher studies and engage them in further research that shall result in the betterment of the society and to achieve the national goals.
