    <pre style="white-space:pre-line"><code>I feel pleasure to pen in few lines as Head of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering and Information Technology.
The Department of CSE &IT is a family and I am privileged to be heading this family. The department stands strong since its
establishment because of the efforts and foundation laid by Founding Head of the Department, Dr. R. K. Gupta. Over the past
years, the department has recorded consistent improvement in its academic, research and placement performance, thus
largely contributing to the profession and community. It offers a range of thoughtfully designed comprehensive curriculum
relating to all aspects of Computer Science and Information Technology and addressing the latest trends in the ï¬eld & require-
ment of industrial houses.

The Department offers B.E. / B.Tech, M.Tech.and Ph.D programmes and is well recognized for excellence in facilities and
teaching. During study at the department, the students are encouraged to get hands-on experience relating to recent trends
in the corporate world through training sessions / internship projects with reputed organizations/industries. Learning is a
continuous process and does not end with the acquisition of a degree, especially because steady and rapid advances in
computing technologies shorten the life of tools and techniques prevalent today. So I urge students to be active and remain
updated about the growing trends and changing industry requirements. Also it is important to be communicative to the
faculties by discussing problems with them, whether related to curriculum, facilities or future. We together need to make this
family grow and nourish.

The department is continuously working to arrange good resources, facilities &infrastructure and new initiatives are being
taken to facilitate students in all dimensions.

At last I want to congratulate the students for taking this new and innovative initiative (magazine) and I hope that the culture
which is being started is inculcated in the department for its lifetime and is inherited by the coming members of the family. I
wish all the best to all the students for their future endeavors.
